“Oedipus the King” – Spokane Falls Community College winter production, Jan. 4, 4 p.m. at the SFCC Playhouse, 3410 W. Fort George Wright Drive. Needed: children ages 8-12, under 5 feet tall. Spokane Symphony Chorale – Sopranos and tenors are needed for the group that performs with the Spokane Symphony. Auditions will be Jan. 7; auditioners should prepare a solo and be prepared to perform a passage from either the Verdi or Brahms “Requiem.” An accompanist will be provided. Christian Youth Theater-North Idaho – New classes for children ages 6-18 begin Jan. 8 and will meet every Tuesday from 4-6 p.m. at The Altar Church, 901 E. Best, Coeur d’Alene. 2008 Twining Humber Award – Artist Trust is seeking nominations for the annual award for lifetime artistic achievement by female Washington state artists age 60 or older. The deadline is Jan. 25.
