Fundraising auction planned

A fundraiser will be held Jan. 6 in Harrison for a family of six left homeless by a house fire.

Bruce and Becca Allen and their four children lost their home in fire late Monday or early Tuesday in Harrison. One Shot Charlie’s, a local bar and restaurant located at 200 S. Coeur d’Alene Ave., is hosting a fundraising auction at 2 p.m.

“Usually the community gets together pretty quick when somebody loses a house to a fire,” said bartender Justin Little.

A motor on a freezer on the outside porch combusted to start the blaze, Little said.

The family is staying at at local motel.
