How do I … track how much cash my neighborhood is providing to political campaigns?

The number of sites offering databases that track political contributions is growing, especially as the elections near.

The alpha-dog site is fundrace.org. Just start there and select Neighbor Search, plop in an address, and with no trouble, up pop some results. Fundrace shows state Sen. Chris Marr, a Spokane Democrat, has given Barack Obama $2,300.

You can also search by contributor name. Hugh Hefner, for instance, has given money this year to both Obama and Hillary Clinton.
