Richard and MaryLee Higel celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family gathering at Manito Park on Sept. 15.

Hosts for the event included their children and spouses: Myron and Erin Higel; Rick Higel; Jeff Higel, all of Spokane; and Cathy and Jon Manor, Portland.

The couple were married Sept. 14, 1957, in Alamosa, Colo. They have four grandchildren.
