Tyler Druffel scored 17 points and A.J. Sandford added 13 points and eight assists to lead Pullman to a 62-58 victory over White Swan at the SunDome Shootout Saturday in Yakima.
The Greyhounds, who won both of their games at the tournament, outscored White Swan 30-20 in the first half.
A.J. Therien added 11 points for Pullman (6-1).
In another tournament game, Kyle Stillar scored 14 points and Leif Parcell added 12 as Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls) edged Granger 46-41. Brady Blankevoort added seven points and pulled down 12 rebounds for the Eagles, who outscored Granger 13-5 in the fourth quarter to erase a three-point deficit. Mychal Lopez tallied a team-high 12 points for Granger. Lakeside improved to 2-8 on the season.
“Andrew Prohaska scored a game-high 26 points and Nate Clinton added 15 as Coeur d’Alene edged Service (Anchorage, Alaska) 69-64 to take third place at the Gillette Classic in Gillette, Wyo. Prohaska was named to the all-tournament team for the Vikings, who finished the tournament with a 2-1 record. Jon Latorre chipped in 10 points and Connor Williams added nine for Coeur d’Alene. The Vikings are 8-1 on the season.
“Griffon Jones scored a game-high 26 points and added eight rebounds and five blocks as Cheney topped Fife 56-45 to take first place at the Blackhawk Tournament in Cheney. Brandon Hardie added 10 points for the Blackhawks, who led 26-17 at the half. Cheney improved to 5-2 overall.
“Jarod Gunning scored 16 points and Taylor Morgan added 14 points and 12 rebounds as Davenport beat Columbia 58-48 in the Davenport Christmas Tournament title game. The Gorillas never trailed after taking a 31-21 halftime lead. With the win, Davenport improved to 7-3 on the season while the Lions fell to 2-8. … In the consolation game, Jake Druffel scored 18 points and Nick Heitstuman added 17 to guide Colton (3-5) to a 66-58 victory over Soap Lake. Marcus Delgado tallied a game-high 22 points to lead the Eagles.
“Ryan Schulz scored 16 points and Ross Nesbitt added 13 as Reardan topped Wellpinit 53-46 in the championship game of the Reardan Christmas Tournament. Jacob Teaford added 10 points for the Indians (8-1). Chey Swift had 16 points and T.J. Flett chipped in 11 to lead the Redskins (7-3). … Also at the tournament, Warren Miller scored 18 points and Wyatt Sitton added 17 as St. John-Endicott edged Chewelah 56-52 to take third place. Neil Miller chipped in 11 points for the Eagles (5-5), who outscored the Cougars 32-19 in the second half to erase a nine-point halftime deficit. Mike Naccarato scored 13 points, Eric Thome tossed in 12 and Marquis Woods added 11 to lead Chewelah (3-6).
“Jim Maley scored 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds to guide Rosalia to a 64-35 victory over Kootenai in the championship game of the Rosalia Spartan Classic. Garret Hartung added 11 points and six rebounds for the Spartans, who outscored the Warriors 13-1 in the first quarter and led 31-13 at the half. Cody Parker and Bucky Thomas scored eight points apiece to guide Kootenai. Rosalia improved their record to 8-2 while the Warriors fell to 5-3. … Also at the tournament, Ryan Presho scored 20 points and Sam Howard had 12 as Springdale (8-3) took third place with a 64-40 victory over the Colfax junior varsity. Caleb Bravard tallied a game-high 21 points for the Colfax JV.
“Matt Pleasants scored a game-high 28 points on 14-of-20 shooting and Coby Dick added 19 points as Lake Roosevelt defeated Lapwai 78-47 in the Raider National Holiday Classic title game at Coulee Dam. The Raiders outscored the Wildcats 23-8 in the second quarter to take a 42-23 lead into halftime.
“Henry Butler tossed in a game-high 29 points to guide St. George’s (9-2, 5-0) to a 62-51 Panorama League win over host Curlew. Austin Mannick scored 19 points and Jordon Wakefield added 18 to lead the Cougars (7-3, 4-3). … In another league game, D.W. Daley and Sawyer Pettis scored 11 points apiece to guide Selkirk (4-5, 3-2) to a 48-27 victory over visiting Northport (4-7, 3-5) at Ione. The Rangers outscored the Mustangs 13-1 in the second quarter and led 26-13 at the half.
“Garrett Blauert scored 16 points, Adam Roberts tossed in 13 and Beaux Martin added 11 as LaCrosse-Washtucna defeated Dayton 55-43 in a non-league game in LaCrosse. The Tigercats (4-5) never trailed after taking a 31-22 lead at the half. … In other non-league games, Omak built a big first-half lead and cruised to an 85-23 victory over visiting Republic. The Pioneers outscored the Tigers 23-0 in the first quarter and led 47-7 at the half. Peter Corbett scored a team-high eight points for Republic (0-8). … Entiat beat visiting Almira/Coulee-Hartline 68-53. The Tigers outscored the Warriors 21-11 in the second quarter and led 38-21 at the half. Kyle Tucker scored 12 points and Cody Jess added 10 to lead Almira/Coulee-Hartline (2-6). … Gardner Torrence hit two free throws with 1 second left to break a tie and give Medical Lake a 52-50 victory over visiting Priest River. Torrence finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds and David Ramacus added 12 points for the Cardinals (4-3). J.P. Ramsey tossed in 17 points and Jake Weimer added 15 to lead the Spartans (5-6). … Ryan Armbruster scored 21 points to lead Sandpoint (3-4) to a 67-61 victory over visiting Moses Lake.
