Top 25 men: Dayton pounds Pitt

Brian Roberts scored 31 points and Dayton upset No. 6 Pittsburgh 80-55 on Saturday night in Dayton, Ohio, extending the Flyers’ winning streak to 10 and handing the Panthers their first loss of the season.

Pittsburgh (11-1) had no answer for Roberts, who got repeated open looks. Marcus Johnson added 15 points and Kurt Huelsman 12 for Dayton (11-1).

(8) Georgetown 78, American 51: At Washington, Roy Hibbert had 14 points and the Hoyas (9-1) shot 60 percent from the field in the win over the Eagles (7-6).

Wisconsin 67, (9) Texas 66: At Austin, Texas, Michael Flowers hit a long 3-pointer with 2 seconds to play, then stole Texas’ inbounds pass and tossed it high in the air to run out the clock as the Badgers (10-2) upset the Longhorns (11-2).

(13) Indiana 97, Chicago State 59: At Bloomington, Ind., Eric Gordon scored 22 points to lead the Hoosiers (11-1) past the Cougars (4-12).

(14) Texas A&M 83, Florida A&M 54: At College Station, Texas, Josh Carter scored 18 points and the Aggies (12-1) defeated the Rattlers (3-8).

(15) Vanderbilt 92, Tenn-Martin 85: At Nashville, Tenn., A.J. Ogilvy had 21 points and nine rebounds as the Commodores (12-0) beat the Skyhawks (5-8).

(18) Villanova 71, La Salle 58: At Villanova, Pa., Scottie Reynolds scored 19 points and Corey Fisher had 18 as the Wildcats (10-1) beat the Explorers (4-7).

Boise State 73, (20) BYU 70: At Boise, Matt Nelson made all seven of his shots and scored 18 points and the Broncos (9-3) rallied from 11 down at halftime to stun the Cougars (10-3).

(21) Clemson 78, Samford 45: At Clemson, S.C., K.C. Rivers scored 16 points and the Tigers (11-1) got the victory over Bulldogs (5-6).

Oklahoma 88, (23) West Virginia 82 (2OT): At Charleston, W. Va., Blake Griffin had 18 points and 16 rebounds before fouling out as the Sooners (10-3) beat the Mountaineers (10-2).

(24) USC 70, UC Riverside 57: At Los Angeles, O.J. Mayo scored 13 of his 20 points in the second half to help the Trojans (9-3) beat the Highlanders (3-8).

(25) Rhode Island 85, Georgia Southern 80: At Corpus Christi, Texas, Will Daniels scored 28 points and the Rams (13-1) beat the Eagles (9-3).
