People: That’s a lot of pretty pennies

From Wire Reports The Spokesman-Review

A million bucks isn’t enough to get recently rehabbed beauty queen Tara Conner to bare all.

The controversial Miss USA made headlines in December when pageant boss Donald Trump almost made her turn in her tiara over her hard-partying ways, then relented on the condition that she seek treatment.

Conner, 21, recently completed a stint in a Pennsylvania rehabilitation facility.

Last month, Trump announced that Playboy was considering Conner for its cover. He said that if the Kentucky native did pose it would be “Playboy-lite” – or not entirely nude.

Now negotiations have shut down.

“She just didn’t feel it was appropriate,” a Trump spokeswoman said.

Meanwhile, dethroned Miss Nevada Katie Rees, who lost her crown over photos showing her semi-nude and kissing other women, says she’s looking to cash in on her scandal.

As for Conner’s offer, she says: “A million! I wasn’t offered a million dollars. I’m going to hold out.”

Ford? More like a Cadillac

Some residents of the Los Angeles rehab facility that Lindsay Lohan checked into are complaining she’s receiving special treatment.

According to TMZ.com, Lohan has a flexible schedule that allows her to keep working on her latest movie, and receives regular visits from her masseur, hairstylist and makeup artist in between group-therapy sessions.

Says her spokeswoman: “This isn’t the Betty Ford Clinic, it’s not a lockdown facility. There is personal time.”

New lease on ‘Live’

Keith Urban, who recently completed his treatment for alcohol abuse, will be the musical guest on “Saturday Night Live” on Feb. 10.

Urban, who has publicly acknowledged a previous addiction to cocaine, entered the Betty Ford Center in October for a three-month stay.

Honker, yes; hooters, no

Yes, Jennifer Aniston admits, she got a nose job – but not the kind you might think.

As opposed to cosmetic surgery, Aniston’s operation was for a deviated septum, she tells People magazine’s Web site.

“Best thing I ever did,” she says. “I slept like a baby for the first time in years.

As for reports about breast implants, Aniston adds: “As far as all the other (rumors), as boring as it sounds, it’s still mine. All of it. Still mine.”

More hot water for Brandy

The parents of a woman killed in a freeway crash involving Brandy have sued the actress-singer for $50 million.

The suit was filed Tuesday, a day after the California Highway Patrol recommended she be charged with misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter in the Dec. 30 accident. The L.A. city attorney’s office is reviewing the case.

Civil rights leaders have come to Brandy’s defense, with Najee Ali, the leader of Project Islamic Hope, claiming she’s being singled out because of her celebrity.
