I feel blue

» If a little bit of blues is what catches your fancy, head to the last day of the Fourth annual Spokane Blues Festival being held today at Ripley's Plantation, 8122 E. Sprague Ave. The music starts at 2 p.m. The bands on tap include Ten Second Tom, Lockdown, Charlie Butts and the Filter Tips, Aaron Richner and Friends, Chip and the Bushwackers, and the King Biscuit Blues Band with Pat Coast.

I feel the need for speed

» Young NASCAR fans are in for a treat. Home Depot will host a workshop today for ages 5-12 to allow them to make a wooden replicate of a NASCAR race car. So if your young one has visions of burning rubber and hot asphalt, take a trip to the Home Depot locations at 5617 E. Sprague and 21710 E. Country Vista Drive in Liberty Lake from 9 a.m. to noon.
