Dwight Childs’ two-run single capped a three-run second inning and the Arizona Wildcats (2-0) never looked back en route to a 10-3 non-conference victory over the Gonzaga Bulldogs (0-2) in Tucson, Ariz.

The Bulldogs, who managed just one hit in their season opener, tallied nine this time. Aaron McGuinness had a triple and a double among his three hits, and Evan Wells banged out a pair of singles to pace Gonzaga.

Chris Highmark took the loss. He allowed seven runs, five earned, on nine hits in 5 2/3 innings.
