Burgan’s donates furniture to Holmes

Children at Holmes Elementary School now have a place to sneak off and get lost in a good book.

Burgan’s Furniture recently donated furniture to the West Central neighborhood school to create a new reading room for students and volunteers.

Principal Steve Barnes said the school needed a “comfortable, homey place” to help kids relax and work on their reading skills.

Burgan’s stepped up and delivered a sofa, chair and area rug for the new reading space, where a group of volunteers works daily with kids.
