Top 25 men: Memphis drops UAB

Jeremy Hunt scored a career-high 30 points and No. 8 Memphis limited UAB to 31 percent shooting in a 70-56 victory Thursday night at Birmingham, Ala.

The Tigers (20-3, 10-0 C-USA) blew the game open by going on a 24-5 run starting late in the first half for their 12th consecutive victory.

Memphis’ defense never let UAB (11-12, 3-6) muster much of a scoring spurt.
