People: Almost father from the truth?

From Wire Reports The Spokesman-Review

Not only did he have an affair with Anna Nicole Smith, says Zsa Zsa Gabor‘s husband, he even tried to adopt her.

Prince Frederick von Ahhalt came forward Friday saying he had a decade-long affair with Smith, who died Thursday at age 39 under mysterious circumstances, and may well be her infant daughter’s father – the third man to make that claim so far.

Von Anhalt, 59, who is the 90-year-old Gabor’s eighth husband, says he met Smith in the 1990s when she was still married to oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall II, and they started an affair soon afterward.

“She was a very big fan of Zsa Zsa and wanted to be like Zsa Zsa,” he said. “She wanted to be a princess.”

But he didn’t want to get a divorce, von Anhalt says, so he had papers drawn up to adopt Smith – but Gabor refused to sign them.

“She was a very sexy woman,” he says of Smith. “To have an affair with her is the top, you know.”

Dances with diapers

Meanwhile, on the actual celebrity baby beat, Kevin Costner and his second wife, Christine, are expecting their first child.

They married in September 2004. He has three children from a previous marriage.

Also looking forward to their first this summer: former “Beverly Hills, 90210” star Jason Priestley and his wife, makeup artist Naomi Lowde.

Without children, fortunately

“Married With Children” actor David Faustino wants to be unmarried.

The 32-year-old Faustino, who played Budrick “Bud” Bundy on the popular ‘90s sitcom, filed for divorce this week from his wife of two years, Andrea Elmer Faustino. They married in January 2004 and had no children.

Except the truth, maybe

Mrs. Tom Cruise says she can’t wait to have more kids.

“I felt so proud to be having a baby and so excited,” Katie Holmes says of daughter with Suri, who was born April 18.

“And I felt closer to other women – to my sisters, to my mom. I felt empowered, like, ‘I’ve given birth. I did it! There’s nothing I can’t handle.’ “

Beating the skins

Speaking of female empowerment, Russell Crowe says his Australian rugby league club’s cheerleading squad is being cut because skimpily clad cheerleaders detract from the game and make spectators uncomfortable.

The Oscar-winning actor, who is part-owner in the South Sydney Rabbitohs, says the club had become concerned that the cheerleaders – whose uniform includes fishnet stockings and tasseled miniskirts in the white, green and red team colors – were inappropriate entertainment.

“It makes women uncomfortable, and it makes blokes who take their son to the football also uncomfortable,” he says. “We examined game day and wanted to contemporize and make the focus (on) football.”

A team of percussionists will replace the cheerleaders, the club announced.
