Joseph Aaron Nicholes was recently installed as the new stake president of the Coeur d’Alene Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His counselors are R. Scott Pingel and Ronald E. Lowe. Dale Du Ree is the executive secretary and Niel Nielson serves as the stake clerk.

President Nicholes has lived in the Post Falls area with his wife, Joyce for the past 7 years and is the father of three. He formerly served as Bishop of the Post Falls 4th Ward.

First Counselor Pingel lives in Post Falls with his wife, Shari and nine children.

Second Counselor Lowe lives in Coeur d’Alene with his wife, Robin. They have five children, 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The Coeur d’Alene Stake Presidency presides over eight area LDS wards and branches, including three Post Falls Wards, the St. Maries Ward and the Plummer Branch.
