NW Bach Festival wraps up on weekend
The 29th annual Northwest Bach Festival concludes this weekend with a trio of concerts in dramatically different styles.

•Friday, 8 p.m., St. John’s Cathedral, 12th Avenue and Grand Boulevard: Pulitzer Prize winner Gunther Schuller conducts the Bach Festival Orchestra and Chorus in Bach’s “Magnificat” and Vivaldi’s “Dixit Dominus,” with soloists Janet Brown and Kendra Colton, sopranos; Barbara Rearick, mezzo soprano; Rockland Osgood, tenor; and Donald Wilkinson, baritone ($25/adults, $15/students).
•Saturday, 4 and 7 p.m., Spokane Athletic Club, 1002 W. Riverside Ave.: “The Bachtail Hour – Bach With a Twist,” with the Brent Edstrom Trio, harpsichordist Mark Kroll and soprano Tamara Schupman; admission includes hors d’oeuvres and a “Bachtini” ($30).
•Sunday, 3 p.m., Davenport Hotel, 10 S. Post St.: Festival Finale Concert with Olav Chris Henriksen, lute; Mark Kroll, harpsichord; and John Marshall, cello ($20/adults, $15/students).
