Associated Press The Spokesman-Review

Lodrick Stewart and Nick Young scored 26 points each to lead No. 22 Southern California to an 80-75 victory over No. 19 Arizona on Thursday night at Tucson, Ariz., ending the Trojans’ 21-game losing streak at McKale Center.

The Trojans (19-7, 9-4) outscored the Wildcats 8-2 over the final 3 minutes to win in Tucson for the first time since Jan. 17, 1985.

Gabe Pruitt added 17 points for USC. Chase Budinger scored 18 and Mustafa Shakur 16 for the Wildcats (17-8, 8-6).

(5) UCLA 67, Arizona St. 61: At Tempe, Ariz., Arron Afflalo scored 24 points, Darren Collison added 18 and No. 5 UCLA rallied from a 10-point deficit to beat the Sun Devils.

Trailing 49-39 with 10:24 to play, the Bruins took command with an 18-2 run, with Darren Collison hitting three 3-pointers and Afflalo another to put UCLA ahead 57-51.

Arizona State (6-20, 0-14) pulled to 63-61 on Serge Angounou’s 3-pointer with 16 seconds left, but Afflalo hit two free throws and Josh Shipp added two more to ice the win.

Afflalo has scored in double figures in 24 straight games, the longest active streak in the Pac-10.

UCLA (22-3, 11-2) bounced back from Saturday’s 70-65 loss at West Virginia, and the Bruins remained atop the Pac-10, one-half game ahead of No. 10 Washington State.

California 63, (15) Oregon 61: At Berkeley, Calif., Ryan Anderson converted a three-point play with 1:01 remaining and California snapped a six-game losing streak by beating slumping No. 15 Oregon.

The Golden Bears (13-12, 5-8) held Oregon (20-6, 8-6) scoreless for the final 4:31 of the game – including misses by Bryce Taylor and Chamberlain Oguchi in the final seconds – to win for the first time since Jan. 18 at Oregon State.

Anderson led the way for Cal with 18 points, Patrick Christopher added a career-high 16 and Omar Wilkes had 10.

Tajuan Porter scored 14 points to lead the Ducks, who have lost five of seven. Aaron Brooks added 12 points and Taylor had 11.

Stanford 70, Oregon State 55: At Stanford, Calif., Lawrence Hill scored 23 points and Brook Lopez matched his career high with 20 points, and Stanford extended its dominance at home over the Beavers.

Playing in its first game since losing point guard Anthony Goods to a high ankle sprain, Stanford (16-8, 8-5) tied a season high with 22 turnovers but had little problem beating the struggling Beavers.

Oregon State shot just 32.3 percent from the floor, trailed the entire game and was outrebounded 42-29. Marcel Jones led the Beavers (10-17, 2-12) with 13 points.

The Cardinal, who fell out of the Top 25 this week after suffering back-to-back losses to Washington State and Washington, defeated the Beavers for the 14th consecutive time at Maples Pavilion dating back to 1992-93. Since beating then-No. 3 UCLA on Jan. 27, Stanford had lost three of four overall to put its postseason hopes in doubt.
