It could be worse

Should the Zags and their followers be worried about the possible loss of their big man for the rest of the regular and postseason?

Maybe, but it could be worse. Coach Mark Few might have trouble sleeping nights for a while, but so will some of his coaching colleagues. Duke’s Coach K has gone through a recent four-game losing skid and his mentor, Texas Tech’s Bobby Knight, lately lost five straight. The Zags had their own four-game slide earlier after starting 9-2, so losing games to lesser teams is nothing new this season for even the best teams in the country.

This Zags team may be the most loaded, talent-laden bunch Few has ever suited up and there’s plenty more waiting in the wings for next season and beyond. If Few has sleepless nights coming, it’s more likely to be how to get everybody into the act.
