Around the Pac-10

The Spokesman-Review

USC coach Tim Floyd was asked this week about the chances of WSU coach Tony Bennett leaving the Palouse. “I’m sure he’ll have offers,” Floyd said. “Anybody that has any understanding of what’s going on out here, he should be the first call. I hope he doesn’t leave, because it would be great for our league if he stays here. The reason why our league is getting so much attention is Washington State, when you see what they’ve done.” Bennett. … Stanford coach Trent Johnson said Anthony Goods will test his injured ankle out of a boot next week for the first time, but Johnson reiterated that the Pac-10 tournament would be the first possible time Goods could see action, and even that is questionable at best. … A similar reality exists on the other side of the Bay Area, where Cal junior center DeVon Hardin’s best-case scenario is to play in the conference tournament, even if it’s too little, too late for the Golden Bears.
