Eagles, Feeley agree to contract extension
Quarterback A.J. Feeley and the Eagles agreed on a three-year contract extension Sunday, nearly eliminating the chance that Jeff Garcia will return to Philadelphia.
Feeley’s new deal runs through 2010. Garcia, who helped the Eagles win the NFC East title and a playoff game after Donovan McNabb was injured, will become a free agent on Friday.

Haas defeats Roddick
Tommy Haas successfully defended his title in the Regions Morgan Keegan Championships, beating Andy Roddick 6-3, 6-2 in Memphis, Tenn.
The 28-year-old German won his sixth straight final and 11th title overall, becoming only the second three-time winner there.
•Argentine Juan Monaco beat Alessio Di Mauro of Italy 6-1, 6-2 for his first ATP title, delighting a capacity crowd at the Copa Telmex in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
•Roberta Vinci won the Copa Colsanitas when top-seeded Tathiana Garbin retired in the third set because of a digestive problem in Bogota, Colombia.
•Unseeded Mikhail Youzhny easily beat third-seeded Ivan Ljubicic 6-2, 6-4 to win the ABN Amro title in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
•Former U.S. Open semifinalist Joachim Johansson, one of the fastest servers in tennis, had shoulder surgery in Stockholm, Sweden, and is expected to be out at least three months.

Matt wins No. 7
Mario Matt of Austria won a slalom event in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, for his seventh World Cup victory.
Matt led after the first run by more than half a second and protected his margin in the second heat to beat Felix Neureuther of Germany. Matt had a combined time of 1 minute, 35.66 seconds.
•Pierre Lueders of Canada won a four-man bobsled World Cup event and Yevgeni Popov of Russia wrapped up the season title in Koenigssee, Germany.
•Marlies Schild won a World Cup slalom in Sierra Nevada, Spain, to clinch the season discipline title with two races remaining.

Leipheimer wraps up wire-to-wire victory
Levi Leipheimer won the Amgen Tour of California having never trailed in the race at Long Beach, Calif.
Leipheimer, a three-time top-10 Tour de France finisher, completed 639.2-mile race with a 21-second advantage over Jens Voigt of Germany.
