Holiday closures

The Spokesman-Review

The following offices and services are affected by today’s New Year’s holiday:

Spokane County

“City, county and state offices are closed.

“There is no garbage service today, and service will run one day late all week.

“Parking meters do not need to be plugged.

“Banks are closed.

“State liquor stores are closed.

“Buses run on the holiday schedule today.

“Post offices are closed.

“County and city libraries are closed today. City libraries are also closed Tuesday.

“Schools are closed for the holidays.

In addition to the New Year’s holiday, several government offices will be closed Tuesday in honor of former President Gerald Ford.

“Spokane county offices and the crime reporting center will be closed Tuesday, although the Public Safety and Broadway Center buildings will remain open.

“Spokane superior, district and municipal courts, as well as the Valley Precinct District Court, will be open Tuesday.

“Spokane Regional Health District offices will be closed Tuesday, as will Spokane Valley City Hall.

“Tuesday’s Spokane Valley City Council meeting has been canceled, although a special meeting has been scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday for ongoing discussions of the city’s new development code.

“Offices in Liberty Lake and Spokane will remain open on Tuesday, and the cities’ public meetings will be held as scheduled.

Idaho

“All Kootenai County city and rural garbage pickup will be one day late for the week.

“City, county and state offices are closed.

“Post offices are closed.

“State liquor stores are closed.

“Most banks are closed.

“Area schools are closed.

“Government offices of Kootenai County, Coeur d’Alene and Post Falls will be open Tuesday.
