Hints from Heloise

The Spokesman-Review

Dear Readers: Make your houseguests feel right at home with a bag or basket filled with travel goodies. When people stay at your home, it might be awkward for them to have to ask for things they forgot to pack. So make it easy on your houseguests and have a supply of toiletries and other goodies – and here are some ideas:

You can put together a special welcome basket with all the little things your guests might need during their visit. Include a toothbrush, travel-size toothpaste, shampoo, dental floss and soap.

A disposable razor and a plastic comb.

If you travel a lot, you can also stock up on hotel freebies like shower caps and lotions, shampoos, bath gels, etc.

Decorate with a pretty ribbon, add some fresh flowers, fruit, etc., and don’t forget to include a note welcoming your guests.

This special basket is a welcoming touch that will really make your houseguests feel at home. Heloise
