Lakers down Mavs
Sasha Vujacic made the go-ahead 3-pointer with 28.5 seconds left, and the Los Angeles Lakers beat Dallas 101-98 Sunday night in Los Angeles to snap the Mavericks’ 13-game winning streak.
Vujacic scored nine of his career-high 16 points in the fourth quarter.
Kobe Bryant had 26 points, eight rebounds and six assists and Luke Walton scored 21 for the Lakers, who presented coach Phil Jackson with his 900th victory.
Ronny Turiaf added 13 points and Smush Parker scored 11 for the Lakers.
Timberwolves 103, Rockets 99 (OT): At Minneapolis, Kevin Garnett had 26 points and 13 rebounds to help Minnesota defeat Houston.
Mark Blount continued his recent strong play for Minnesota, adding 21 points.
Tracy McGrady scored 31 points for Houston.
Suns 128, Warriors 105: At Phoenix, James Jones scored 25 points, two shy of his career high, and Phoenix cruised to its sixth win in a row with the victory over Golden State.
Fellow reserve Leandro Barbosa scored 26 and Shawn Marion had 24 points and 17 rebounds in the Suns’ 22nd victory in their last 24 games. Steve Nash had 14 points.
Magic 87, Celtics 79: At Orlando, Fla., Grant Hill scored 21 points and Dwight Howard had 18 points and 12 rebounds as Orlando beat Boston for its fourth straight victory.
Tony Allen led the Celtics with 21 points and a season-high nine rebounds, while Delonte West added 13 points and Al Jefferson had 12 points and seven rebounds.
Spurs 110, Grizzlies 96: At Memphis, Tenn., Manu Ginobili scored a season-high 34 points to lead San Antonio to a victory over Memphis.
Ginobili, who had averaged 25.5 points in the previous two games, was 10 of 15 from the field, including 6 of 8 from 3-point range.
Heat 93, Trail Blazers 90: At Portland, Dwyane Wade’s return ended Miami’s losing streak.
Wade scored 33 points and Miami beat Portland to snap a five-game skid.
Brandon Roy led the Blazers with 18 points.
Raptors 116, Wizards 111: At Toronto, Chris Bosh had 24 points and 15 rebounds to lead Toronto to a victory over Washington.
Gilbert Arenas had 33 points, but went 7 for 19 from the field for the Wizards.
