Gonzaga’s Mark Few, in just his eighth season as a head coach, will be going for career win No. 200 Saturday when the Bulldogs play at Santa Clara. Few’s record is 199-47 overall and 91-9 against WCC opponents. … Counting the past two WCC tournaments, GU has won 29 straight against conference foes. … The last time Portland, which is at Saint Mary’s on Saturday, opened WCC play with three straight wins was 1995, when it had a 10-4 WCC record, the best in school history. … Portland’s Ben Sullivan and Loyola Marymount’s Jon Ziri were ejected from Saturday’s game after tumbling to the floor and getting into a minor scuffle that officials ruled to be fighting… . Santa Clara has declared Saturday’s game against GU “Dick Davey Argyle Sweater Night,” in honor of the Broncos’ long-time head coach’s sense of style. A prize goes to the fan in the best Davey-style sweater.
