WSU Cougars

Today: at Cal, 7:30 p.m.

Saturday: at Stanford, 4 p.m., FSN

Outlook: The Cougars are riding high on the heels of being ranked for the first time since 1983 this week. To maintain their spot in the Top 25, they’ll have to continue to play well on the road, starting today at Cal. The Golden Bears and the Cardinal both appear to be middle-of-the-road Pac-10 teams, but this season that translates into a pair of difficult games. . Cal’s Ayinde Ubaka is one of the Pac-10’s top perimeter players, and Stanford has freshmen 7-footers Brook and Robin Lopez in the middle.
