Community update : Comedy show, auction to aid Komen Foundation
Northern Quest Casino, 100 N. Hayford Road in Airway Heights, will host Laugh for the Cure on Thursday.
The evening will begin with a silent auction at 6 p.m. A comedy show featuring Kermit Holiday and Shaun Jones will begin at 7.
A no-host bar and hors d’oeuvres buffet also will be available.
Items featured in the silent auction include spa packages, golf packages and autographed Cougar footballs. Proceeds will benefit the Eastern Washington affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Bring Kim Back benefit
On Sunday, a concert held by local musicians at Mik-n-Mac’s Lounge, 406 N. Fourth St. in Coeur d’Alene, will begin with a drum circle at 3 p.m. A Coeur d’Alene band, KITE, will play from 6 to 7 p.m.
Funds raised will benefit Kim Hagen, an area artist.
Hagen was hit by a car in August and was in a coma for two months.
She has had four brain surgeries and continues a long recovery.
