“I Know I Need Exercise, but…” Do You Have Diabetes or Pre-Diabetes – This class will discuss ideas to get more exercise into your daily life, at Deaconess Health and Education Center, 800 W. Healthcare Provider CPR: Renewal – For those who wish to renew their current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card, this class will meet Thursday from 7:45 a.m.-1 p.m. at St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute, 711 S. Breast-feeding Basics – This class for expectant and breast-feeding mothers will discuss the benefits and techniques, Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Sacred Heart Medical Center, 101 W. Prepared Childbirth – For expectant parents in the last trimester of pregnancy, this two-week class will discuss the stages and management of labor, breathing techniques and more. Look Good… Feel Better – A program offered by the American Cancer Society to help women diagnosed with cancer learn how to apply cosmetics and choose wigs and other head wear. Cancer Fitness Recovery Program – The Medically Directed Wellness Center at St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute is looking for four underinsured or uninsured women to participate in its Cancer Fitness Recovery Program. The program helps cancer survivors deal with the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation. The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation has set aside money for women who cannot afford to join.
