Local play to debut at CenterStage

CenterStage revives its dinner theater format beginning tonight with “The Road to Diddlysquat,” a world premiere comedy.

Local playwright and actor Reed McColm wrote this play about George, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, and Carlton, his best friend. George, played by Tim Behrens, suddenly remembers that he did something terrible years ago. He and Carlton embark on a quest to set things right.

CenterStage calls it a “buddy comedy” and an “on-the-road play,” both funny and poignant.

This is the first production in what CenterStage is calling its “Playwrights Playground Series,” featuring regional playwrights.

CenterStage is also revamping the dinner part of the dinner theater equation. Entrees will now be served buffet style. Salads and dessert will continue to be served at the table.
