Two-man show
Together at last, Carmelo Anthony and Allen Iverson began their quest Monday night to prove two superstars can coexist.
So far, so very, very good.
Anthony scored 28 points in his return from a 15-game suspension for fighting and Iverson added 23 in the Denver Nuggets’ 115-98 rout of the Memphis Grizzlies in Denver.
The Nuggets jumped out to a 20-point first-quarter lead, never trailing and turning it on in the fourth quarter with a series of alley-oop jams from Iverson to Anthony that capped the duo’s debut.
Raptors 105, Bobcats 84: At Toronto, Chris Bosh scored 20 to lead Toronto to a victory over Charlotte.
Rookie Adam Morrison had three points for Charlotte.

Magic 90, Cavaliers 79: At Cleveland, Grant Hill scored 22 points, Dwight Howard added 18 with 13 rebounds and Orlando defeated Cleveland.
LeBron James had 18 points for the Cavaliers.
Heat 101, Knicks 83: At Miami, playing without its two All-Stars, Miami scored a franchise-record 27 consecutive points and beat New York.
Dwyane Wade (sprained ankle) and Shaquille O’Neal (knee surgery) watched from the bench as Miami raced to a 29-3 lead after 8 1/2 minutes.
Jason Kapono fueled the Heat’s early run and scored 22 points.
Pacers 98, Bulls 91: At Indianapolis, Jermaine O’Neal had 22 points and 10 rebounds and Indiana beat Chicago to win for the first time since making an eight-player trade last week.
Spurs 93, Celtics 89: At Boston, Tim Duncan remained unbeaten against the Celtics, finishing with 21 points and nine rebounds to lead San Antonio over Boston.
The Spurs have won 18 straight against the Celtics and nine in a row in Boston.
Jazz 106, Timberwolves 91: At Salt Lake City, Mehmet Okur scored 28 points and Carlos Boozer had 10 points in a 3-minute stretch of the fourth quarter to lead Utah past Minnesota.
Okur, who has averaged 27 points over the last five games, scored 19 in the second half.
Kings 88, Nets 87: At Sacramento, Calif., Mike Bibby scored the Kings’ last 15 points, including the go-ahead jumper with 10.3 seconds to play, and Sacramento erased a 20-point deficit for a victory over New Jersey.
Lakers 108, Warriors 103: At Los Angeles, Kobe Bryant celebrated the one-year anniversary of his 81-point performance by scoring 42, and Los Angeles beat Golden State despite a season-high 24 turnovers.
Smith fined for gestures
Atlanta forward Josh Smith was fined $25,000 by the NBA for making obscene gestures to the crowd as he left for the locker room following a second-quarter ejection Saturday night in the Hawks’ loss at Charlotte.
