Ben Aune nailed a 16-foot jump shot at the buzzer to give Colfax (13-3, 5-1) a 38-36 win over visiting Freeman (12-5, 5-2) Friday and sole possession of first place.

Aune finished with 12 points and Jared Berarducci added a team-high 15 points and seven rebounds for the Bulldogs.

In other league action, senior Jason Dorow scored seven of his 13 points in the fourth quarter and grabbed eight rebounds as Chewelah (10-6, 5-2) topped visiting Kettle Falls (5-10, 2-4) 58-47. Ryan Ross and Jordan Hoxie also added 13 points each for the Cougars.
