Man suspected of molestation
A Post Falls man is being held in the Kootenai County Jail on $250,000 bond on suspicion of lewd conduct with two girls, ages 2 and 4.
Jody D. Jeffres, 27, in a phone conversation taped by Post Falls police, admitted to molesting the girls on multiple occasions, according to police reports. Jeffres, a nurse’s assistant, also allegedly admitted to inappropriately touching an elderly woman he had been caring for at Loyalton Assisted Living Center in Coeur d’Alene.
He has yet to be charged with any crime against the woman, who he estimated was in her 80s, according to police reports.
His employer, Alternative Health Care, declined to comment on his employment status or allegations that he abused a client. An administrator at Loyalton told Post Falls police Detective Dave Beck that Alternative Health Care provided services to residents at Loyalton, according to the police report.
In the conversation recorded by detectives, Jeffres allegedly said that he was helping the woman in the bathroom when he touched her. The police report quoted Jeffres as saying the elderly woman “didn’t know what was happening to her.”
