Jake Moug scored two goals to lead the Spokane Spiders to a 3-1 win over the Ogden Outlaws in a Premier Development League soccer game Friday night at Spokane Falls Community College.

Dade Smith made eight saves for Spokane, which was outshot 18-11.

Spokane improved to 6–0 at home this season.

Grant Lundberg scored the Spiders’ other goal off an assist from Matt Friesen early in the second half.

Spokane improved to 6-6 with four games remaining. The Spiders need to win their remaining games to have a realistic chance of making the playoffs. The top four teams from the Western Conference earn playoff bids.

Spokane hosts Northwest Division leader BYU (9-1-1) tonight at 7:05 at SFCC.

Basketball

Gonzaga University’s Matt Bouldin scored two points and grabbed six rebounds in 17 minutes in the USA Men’s U19 World Championship Team’s 102-51 rout of Team Africa at the 2007 Global Games at Moody Coliseum in Dallas.

In the United States’ next game, a 117-79 win over Puerto Rico, Bouldin hit two 3-pointers and finished with six points.
