People: Hey, Paris, she’s got your number

For months, Shira Barlow‘s cell phone was flooded with odd calls and text messages, mostly between 2 and 4 a.m. on weekends.

“Baby girl, how are you?” one man purred in a foreign accent

Told she had a wrong number, a woman said: “Why are you doing this? This is so rude.”

And there were several seemingly random references to “Paris” – as in Paris Hilton.

After losing her cell phone on Valentine’s Day during a night out with friends (it fell out of her back pocket into a toilet), Barlow was assigned a new number by her wireless company – one which used to belong to Hilton.

Since Hilton’s birthday is Feb. 17, a flurry of calls and texts soon arrived. “Oh my God,” one caller said. “Where’s the party?”

Then came dozens of condolences after Hilton was sent to jail for violating probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case.

Barlow said she has resisted the temptation to pose as Paris to get into exclusive parties. But she did message supporters “thanks so much,” believing Hilton would appreciate it.

She plans to keep the number, saying it’s more a source of amusement than a hassle.

Rich white trash

Speaking of Paris Hilton, an empty can of organic gourmet dog food taken from her trash fetched $305 in an eBay auction.

Among other items listed by HollywoodStarTrash.com, a used toothbrush fetched $305; two envelopes sent to her while she was in jail sold for $510; and a Coke can pulled from her garbage went for $51.

She was on a roll

Britney Spears has apologized for attacking a photographer’s car with an umbrella in February, shortly before she entered rehab.

“I apologize to the pap(arazzi) for a stunt that was done 4 months ago regarding an umbrella,” Spears says on her Web site.

“I was preparing my character for a roll in a movie where the husband never plays his part so they switch places accidentally. I take all my rolls very seriously and got a little carried away. Unfortunately I didn’t get the part.”

A dry-eyed run

Today may mark the big French wedding between Eva Longoria and Tony Parker, but they officially tied the knot on Friday.

The “Desperate Housewives” star and the pro basketball player were wed at a civil ceremony in Paris, a prelude to today’s star-studded bash at a storied chateau.

French law requires couples who marry to make their vows official at a city hall, even if they have a church wedding as well.

And the city is … Hollywood

“Sex and the City” finally is coming to the big screen, according to a report in Variety.

The film, which will be written and directed by the television show’s executive producer, Michael Patrick King, will reunite all four lead actresses: Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon and Kim Cattrall.

No word yet on the supporting roles, including Parker’s character’s suitor, Mr. Big.
