Erin Buescher scored 11 of her career-high 27 points in the fourth quarter to help the San Antonio Silver Stars hold off the Seattle Storm 80-73 Saturday night in San Antonio.

Helen Darling and Sophia Young had 11 points apiece and Vickie Johnson added 10 for San Antonio.

Tanisha Wright scored a career-high 23 points and Lauren Jackson had 15 points and 13 rebounds as Seattle snapped a three-game winning streak. Rookie Katie Gearlds had 11 points, and Betty Lennox and Iziane Castro Marques added 10 each.

Mystics 77, Sky 73: At Chicago, Alana Beard had 25 points and seven rebounds, and Washington rallied from a double-digit deficit in the fourth quarter to beat the Sky.

Monique Currie scored 16 points, DeLisha Milton-Jones added 12 and Nikki Teasley 10 for Washington.

Candice Dupree had 24 points and 11 rebounds for the Sky.

Sun 110, Sparks 89: At Los Angeles, Katie Douglas scored 28 points and Evanthia Maltsi had a career-high 23 to lead Connecticut to a victory over the Sparks.

Asjha Jones added 21 points, and Lindsey Whalen had 17 points and eight assists for the Sun, who set single-game team records for points and shooting – 63.9 percent (39 for 61).

Off the court

Indiana’s Anna DeForge earned a spot in the WNBA All-Star lineup by surging into second – 4,700 votes ahead of Detroit’s Katie Smith. … Seattle’s Lauren Jackson entered the weekend leading the league in scoring, averaging 22.7 points while shooting 51 percent from the field. Minnesota’s Seimone Augustus (22.2 points) was second. … San Antonio’s Becky Hammon led in assists (5.36), and Seattle’s Sue Bird (5.0) was second. Bird became the fifth player in league history to top 1,000 assists for her career, reaching the milestone in the Storm’s 84-53 win over New York on July 1.
