Hints from Heloise

The Spokesman-Review

Dear Readers: Don’t toss those empty margarine tubs. Instead, think green – recycle or reuse them. Here are some ideas from Heloise Central:

•Use to store leftovers.

•Use in the garage for nuts, bolts, etc.

•Small ones are handy for small craft items.

•Hold vegetable scraps in one until they can be composted.

•Use as a travel water bowl for pets.

Heloise

Dear Heloise: I’d had it. There must be an easier way of getting my watch and bracelets put on. Suddenly, simple as that, staring at the tape roll, it happened. Luck at last. I broke off a small piece of tape and placed it on my thumb joint to hold one end of the bracelet, then wrapped the bracelet around my wrist to lock it into the tape-held end. Simple and smart. – Agnes V. in upstate New York
