Lavender sales will aid Miracle Network

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, Leisure Lavender Farm, 3529 N. Lynden Road, Otis Orchards, is holding its fifth annual U-Pick Lavender Benefit for Children’s Miracle Network.

A portion of the proceeds from each bundle of lavender sold will be donated to CMN of the Inland Northwest.

Vanessa Behan street fair benefit

The annual South Perry Street Fair and Kindred Spirits Outdoor Quilt Show, benefiting the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery, will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday with a parade. Other festivities will include children’s games, and arts and crafts booths.

Green ‘n’ Bluz Fest

On Saturday, the fourth annual Green ‘n’ Bluz Fest will be at the Spokane Valley Eagles Lodge, 16801 E. Sprague Ave.

The evening will begin at 5 p.m. with a silent auction, environmental information, activities for children and blues music. The list of musicians include Studebaker John and the Hawks, Papa Glenn and the Border Run Blues Band, The Longnecks, Waukon, and Lindell Reason.

Tickets are $15 and are available at TicketsWest outlets, www.ticketswest.com or (509) 325-SEAT. Inland Empire Blues Society members can buy tickets through the Blues Society for $12 in advance.

Proceeds will benefit The Lands Council, Selkirk Conservation Alliance, Futurewise, the Sovereignty, Health, Air, Water and Land Society, and KYRS Thin Air Community Radio.
