Cubs 9, Astros 3: At Chicago, Ted Lilly won his fourth straight start, Aramis Ramirez had four RBIs and Alfonso Soriano hit a three-run homer as the Cubs roughed up Roy Oswalt in a victory over Houston.

Phillies 10, Cardinals 4: At Philadelphia, Jimmy Rollins, Ryan Howard and Aaron Rowand homered, Pat Burrell added four RBIs and the Phillies avoided their 10,000th loss again by beating St. Louis.

Dodgers 8, Giants 7 (12): At San Francisco, Derek Lowe held Barry Bonds (0 for 5) hitless in three at-bats and Los Angeles beat the Giants on Rafael Furcal’s sacrifice fly in the 12th inning.

Marlins 5, Nationals 2: At Miami, Miguel Cabrera hit one of Florida’s three home runs, leading the Marlins past Washington. Jeremy Hermida and Josh Willingham also connected for Florida.

Brewers 2, Rockies 1 (10): At Milwaukee, pinch-hitter Tony Graffanino’s bloop single scored Geoff Jenkins from third with one out in the 10th inning, and the Brewers beat Colorado.

Mets 2, Reds 1: At New York, Shawn Green hit an RBI single and scored the go-ahead run to defeat Cincinnati. Tom Glavine allowed only two hits in eight innings for New York.

Braves 5, Pirates 4: At Atlanta, Jeff Francoeur hit a bases-loaded single with two outs in the ninth inning, giving the Braves a victory over Pittsburgh.

Diamondbacks 5, Padres 4: At Phoenix, Chad Tracy singled home the winning run in the eighth as Arizona rallied to defeat San Diego. Jose Valverde pitched the ninth for his 27th save in 30 chances.
