Rockies 5, Pirates 3: At Pittsburgh, Brad Hawpe and Todd Helton each hit two-run homers and Colorado beat the Pirates. Jeff Francis gave up six hits in seven innings for Colorado.

Nationals 7, Astros 6: At Washington, Ryan Langerhans hit a three-run homer, and the Nationals edged Houston. Jason Bergmann was charged with four runs and six hits for the Nationals.

Reds 5, Braves 4 (15): At Atlanta, Brandon Phillips’ two-run single in the 15th inning gave Cincinnati a victory over the Braves. Phillips’ hit drove in Norris Hopper and Ken Griffey Jr.

Dodgers 5, Phillies 4: At Los Angeles, Andre Ethier hit a three-run homer, Luis Gonzalez added a tie-breaking solo shot in the sixth inning and the Dodgers rallied to beat Philadelphia.

Cubs 12, Giants 1: At Chicago, Carlos Zambrano pitched five shutout innings, Koyie Hill drove in a career-high five runs, and the Cubs beat San Francisco.

Cardinals 6, Marlins 0: At Miami, Kip Wells allowed two hits in eight innings, Juan Encarnacion drove in three runs and St. Louis beat Florida. Wells struck out four and walked two.

Diamondbacks 5, Brewers 2: At Milwaukee, Mark Reynolds hit a tiebreaking three-run homer in the eighth inning as Arizona beat the Brewers. Tony Pena pitched two innings of relief for the victory.

Padres 5, Mets 4: At San Diego, Geoff Blum singled in the go-ahead run with two outs in the eighth for the Padres, to rally past New York. Milton Bradley and Adrian Gonzalez homered for the Padres.
