Reds 7, Marlins 5: At Miami, Ryan Freel hit a three-run homer in the eighth and Cincinnati won their fourth game in a row by rallying past Florida. The Reds blew an early 3-0 lead and trailed 5-3 before scoring four runs in the eighth against Armando Benitez (2-5).

Braves 10, Cardinals 1: At Atlanta, Andruw Jones homered and drove in three runs to back seven strong innings by Tim Hudson, and the Braves ended a three-game skid with a victory over St. Louis.

Brewers 10, Diamondbacks 1: At Milwaukee, Rookie Yovani Gallardo pitched six shutout innings and Tony Graffanino homered to help the Brewers beat Arizona.

Cubs 9, Giants 8: At Chicago, Barry Bonds hit two homers and drove in six runs, but it wasn’t enough as the Cubs beat San Francisco. Aramis Ramirez drove in two runs and scored twice to lead Chicago.

Padres 1, Phillies 0: At San Diego, Chris Young gave up two hits in seven innings, and Brian Giles’ RBI double provided all the offense the Padres needed in San Diego’s victory over Philadelphia.

Nationals 5, Rockies 4: At Washington, D’Angelo Jimenez’ single in the bottom of the tenth scored Austin Kearns and gave the Nationals a victory over Colorado. Jon Rauch (4-2) picked up the win for Washington.

Mets 13, Dodgers 9: At Los Angeles, Jose Reyes, David Wright and Ramon Castro drove in two runs apiece, leading the New York Mets to a win over the Dodgers. Derek Lowe took the loss for Los Angeles.
