CVSD closes Liberty Lake fields

The Spokesman-Review

The Central Valley School District has closed the playground and fields at Liberty Lake Elementary School this summer for renovations. The grass will be reseeded and divots in the fields will be filled in.

“It’s not uncommon for us to do this, said Melanie Rose, district spokeswoman. “We have to close the fields to keep people off of it while the grass grows. Closing playgrounds isn’t our preferred option, but summer is really the only time we can do it.”

The district will reopen the playground when school begins Sept. 6.
