Hints from Heloise

The Spokesman-Review

Dear Heloise: I’ve found a great way to recycle contact-lens cases. I keep my pills that I have to take to work in them. With the screw-on lids, I don’t have to worry about the pills getting lost in my purse, or worse. – Joanne, Spring Branch, Texas

Dear Heloise: I’ve found a great way to freshen my kitchen trash can. I use a car deodorizer. I place it in the bottom of the trash can and then put the trash bag in. Now, every time I open it, freshness is all I smell. – Susan, via e-mail

Dear Readers: An easy way to hull strawberries is to push a straw into the pointed end of the berry, and the leaves and the core will come out the other end. Then use an egg slicer for a more decorative look. – Heloise
