Vacation Bible schools offered

It’s getting to be vacation Bible school season and some Inland Northwest churches are planning sessions for later this month. Those include Bible-based storytimes, crafts, games and other activities.

“The Lutheran Church of the Master in Coeur d’Alene will host a “Sonforce Kids” VBS session June 18-22 at the church, 4800 Ramsey Road. Classes will run daily from 9 a.m. to noon and are open to kids in preschool through the fifth grade.

“Evangelist Dan Hadik and his wife, Lisa, will lead a Bible school at Arden Faith Baptist Church near Colville June 18-22. Classes will meet daily from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The theme of the session will be the resurrection of Christ.

Gospel concert

The Tennessee-based gospel choir Blackwood Legacy will perform June 14 at 7 p.m. at the Morgan Acres Community Church.

The group tours extensively and has been featured on TBN’s “Unfolding Majesty.”

Family movie night

Lidgerwood Presbyterian Church will host a free family movie night Friday at 7 p.m. featuring “The Chronicles of Narnia.” Refreshments will be served.

Stairway to Heaven

The Unity Center in North Spokane will host a “Stairway to Heaven” benefit music festival Friday to raise money to help fund the church’s building expenses.

The variety show, featuring a mix of jazz, blues, Broadway songs and more, will be from 7 to 10 p.m. at the church, 4123 E. Lincoln Road. Refreshments will be served.
