CenterFest all about jazz

Get jazzed today at CenterFest 2, a benefit for CenterStage, 1017 W. First Ave.

Beginning at 3 p.m., music from more than 11 bands will fill all three floors at CenterStage and play until 10. The event will feature Julia Keefe, The Night Bloomin’ Jazz Men, Fugu Apprentice, and many more.

Tickets are $15 and may be purchased at (509) 74-STAGE or TicketsWest at (509) 325-SEAT.

Proceeds will benefit CenterStage, a nonprofit arts organization.

Really big raffle

From noon to 4 p.m. today, North Idaho College is holding an open house for North Idaho College Foundation’s 14th annual Really Big Raffle.

Ticket holders could enter to win a free ticket for the grand prize: a $300,000 custom home under construction at 1649 Umpqua Court in Post Falls. Other prizes include a $20,000 car, a $10,000 boat, a $3,500 vacation and a $2,000 shopping spree.

The 3,300 square foot, multilevel home has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, an office and several other features.

Tickets are $100 and only 5,000 tickets will be sold before the July 11 drawing. Proceeds benefit educational needs at NIC.

Breast cancer spaghetti feed

Enjoy spaghetti, live music and an auction and raffle today, at Curley’s at Hauser Junction, 26433 W. Highway 53, Hauser, Idaho.

The spaghetti feed begins at 2 p.m., along with two local rock and roll bands.

Cost for the feed is $6, and all money donated will benefit Debbie Egle, a local Hauser resident battling breast cancer.

Parade of Paws

On Saturday, the Spokane Humane Society is holding its fourth annual Parade of Paws pledge walk, benefiting the homeless and unwanted animals the Humane Society cares for.

The walk is a two- or four-mile route and will begin at 10 a.m. at the 6607 N. Havana shelter.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the shelter, providing food, water, and necessary veterinary care.
