Rowling plans U.S. reading tour

J.K. Rowling, author of the “Harry Potter” books, will be come to the United States in October for a book-reading tour, including appearances in Los Angeles, New York and New Orleans.

During “The J.K. Rowling Open Book Tour,” which will be limited to schoolchildren, the author will meet with her fans; read from “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” the last in the series (due out July 21); and sign books, according to Scholastic, the publisher.
