Sky subdue slumping Sun
UNCASVILLE, Conn. – Candice Dupree scored 28 points and the Chicago Sky beat the Connecticut Sun 87-74 Sunday, giving the team more wins this season than it had all of last year.
Stacey Dales added 17 and Dominique Canty had 14 for Chicago (6-5), which finished 5-29 in 2006, its inaugural season.
Asjha Jones scored 22 points and had 12 rebounds for Connecticut. Lindsay Whalen added 12 points and the 5-foot-9 point guard pulled down 10 rebounds for the Sun, but finished with just three assists.
Connecticut is on a four-game losing streak, the team’s longest since 2002.
