The Spokesman-Review

Phil Boscarino delivered a two-run single in the bottom of the eighth inning and the Spokane RiverHawks held on for a 3-2 victory over the Kitsap Bluejackets in West Coast Collegiate League baseball action on Monday at the Patterson Complex on the campus of Gonzaga University.

Brian Embery started the rally when he reached base on an error with one out. Bryan Horst followed with a double to set the table for Boscarino.

Kitsap (1-4) grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first inning, but Boscarino homered leading off the fourth inning to knot the score.

Jake Hiatt (1-0) picked up the win with 2 2/3 innings of relief. He allowed one unearned run on three hits, while striking out three.

Aaron Guinn started for Spokane (3-2) and allowed one run in 6 1/3 innings. He surrendered six hits, struck out three and issued no walks.
