What: America’s Boating Course, eight-hour certified boat handling and safety class.

Who: Taught by Spokane Sail and Power Squadron.

When: Starts Monday and runs four consecutive Mondays. Another course is set to run four consecutive Wednesdays starting April 11. All sessions run 7 p.m.-9 p.m.

Where: Squadron clubhouse, 925 W. Jackson Ave.

Details: Classes satisfy Washington’s mandatory boater safety education requirement, phasing in for all boat drivers over the next 13 years.

Cost: $40 or $20 for student accompanied by registered adult.
