WCC a low-caliber league

The Spokesman-Review

Well, Zags fans. After watching the WCC tournament last weekend, I’ve come to the conclusion the league is just glorified high school basketball and that winning the conference championship is not a feather in any school’s cap. The basketball skill is atrocious. Gonzaga should be in a better league.

Of course, if the Bulldogs want to get to the NCAAs every year and have the longest conference winning streak, then stay in the WCC.

By the way, welcome to your stab at big-time basketball. The two losers who were recruited and got caught with drugs are an example of how tough recruiting is. Once in a while coaches have to overlook character and look at talent. It finally caught up with Gonzaga. I suggest the school look for better competition in another league and the wins would seem even better.
