Region: West

Coach: Mark Few

Record: 23-10

Leading scorer: Guard Derek Raivio, 18.2

Leading rebounder: Forward Abdullahi Kuso, 4.6

Keys to victory:

1. Stay out of foul trouble while dealing with D.J. White. White is as good a post player as the Zags have faced in some time, and the foul pressure he puts on GU’s undermanned front line will be critical.

2. Limit the 3s. Be it in transition or out of its half-court sets, Indiana loves to launch 3-pointers. The Hoosier led the Big Ten in 3-point field-goal percentage, which means GU will need to locate IU’s perimeter shooters every time down the court.

3. Keep the tempo in the fast lane. The Bulldogs are at their best when they’re playing quickly, and even though IU also likes to run, an up-tempo game favors the Zags.

Region: West

Coach: Kelvin Sampson

Record: 20-10

Leading scorer: Forward D.J. White, 13.7

Leading rebounder: White, 7

Keys to victory:

1. Keep tabs on Derek Raivio. The Hoosiers did a nice job of defending the perimeter and limiting Adam Morrison’s touches in last year’s NCAA loss to GU. But this time around, the Zags don’t have a post player like J.P. Batista, which puts a ton of pressure on Raivio, the Bulldogs’ leading scorer, to produce from outside.

2. Knock down the 3-pointer. Indiana has relied heavily on the 3-pointer throughout the season, and will probably need to shoot a decent percentage from long range tonight to hang with the Zags.

3. Ride the big man. D.J. White didn’t play in last year’s game against GU, but has emerged as the Hoosiers’ first offensive option.
