Savage rejoins Spokane Shock
Antwone Savage, the Spokane Shock’s leading all-purpose yardage leader last season, will rejoin the team.
Savage signed a contract with the Dallas Desperadoes in October, but he was released in their final round of cuts. Last season Savage led the Shock with 1,851 all-purpose yards. His 85 receptions tied him for the team lead.
Savage is the seventh player from the 2006 ArenaCup Championship roster to return to Spokane. The Shock will open their season March 31 at the Arena against Stockton.

Cooney served four seasons under Paul Westhead at George Mason University before coming to UWG. He’s also coached Morehead State and Loyola Marymount.

Oregon game not on local TV
Spokane-area Oregon Ducks fans will not see Friday’s Oregon-Miami (Ohio) first-round NCAA tournament matchup on TV.
A KREM-TV spokesperson said the national network, CBS, allows just seven local stations to air the game and all of them are from Oregon and Ohio.
The other three games in the Spokane Arena will be on locally starting with Notre Dame-Winthrop at 11:30 a.m., Texas-New Mexico State at 4 p.m. and Arkansas-USC at 6:30.
