People: Well, welcome to the Pax
Angelina Jolie picked up her new adopted son from a Vietnamese orphanage Thursday, greeting the 3-year-old with a kiss and a hug.
The boy’s name is Pax Thien Jolie, a Jolie spokesman said. “Pax” means peace in Latin.
“This morning he woke up at 6, just like all the children,” said orphanage director Nguyen Van Trung.
“He put on new clothes, and he was very excited.”
Trung said the child at first seemed shy with his mother-to-be, but “it seemed like she was very good at getting along with children.”
Jolie arrived at the orphanage carrying her 5-year-old son Maddox, whom she adopted in neighboring Cambodia in 2002. She also has an adopted daughter, Zahara, 2, from Ethiopia.
She and partner Brad Pitt also have a daughter, Shiloh, born to the couple in May.
Jolie later complained that paparazzi had attacked her car as she left the orphanage, pounding on the door and throwing things under the vehicle to prevent it from moving.

Israeli police are considering whether to charge two of Leonardo DiCaprio‘s bodyguards in connection with a scuffle with photographers this week.
DiCaprio, Israeli supermodel Bar Refaeli and her family on Monday were touring a tunnel near the Western Wall (aka the Wailing Wall).
About 20 photographers were waiting for them to come out, and two of DiCaprio’s bodyguards reportedly began swinging their fists wildly in an effort to scatter the crowd.
“They were freaking out and going crazy,” one shooter said. “It was pure violence.”
DiCaprio’s publicist blames it all on the aggressive paparazzi.
The rumored Mills
Heather Mills says she’s the victim of a campaign of vilification by the press as she divorces Paul McCartney.
“There is a huge agenda behind trying to destroy me and put me down,” she said in a BBC interview Thursday.
But whatever happens, she added: “I’ll always love Paul. He’s the father of my child, and I’ll always have strong feelings for him.”
Police near her home in southern England say they’ve dealt with a disproportionate number of calls from Mills, who says she has received death threats, including four emergency calls in a 24-hour period.
Won’t get fooled again?
The show will go on for The Who in Mexico City on Saturday, despite lead singer Roger Daltrey‘s bout of bronchitis.
“We just talked to the band’s manager, and he assured us the singer will have recovered and be in good form for the concert,” said a spokesman for the Mexican promoter.
Daltrey left the stage in the middle of his opening song Tuesday in Tampa, Fla., disappointing thousands of fans.
