‘Passion of Christ’

Easter is nearly here, and Country Homes Christian Church is marking the occasion with a showing of Mel Gibson’s movie “The Passion of the Christ.”

The film will begin at noon on April 1 at the church, 8415 N. Wall St. The afternoon will include a potluck lunch. All are welcome.

Easter drama

The congregation of the Lutheran Church of the Master in Coeur d’Alene will stage several performances of the Easter drama “The Conspiracy of Betrayal” featuring Judas, Satan as the prosecuting attorney, and the audience as the jury.

Performances will begin at 7 p.m. today and 4 p.m. Sunday at the church, 4800 N. Ramsey Road.

Lenten Taize service

St. John’s Episcopal Cathedral, 127 E. 12th Ave., will host a Lenten Taize service of meditation and sung prayer at 7 p.m. Sunday.

The service will include members of the Common Ministry at Washington State University.

Revival

Evangelist Paul Mershon will lead a series of revival meetings beginning next Saturday at Arden Faith Baptist Church in Colville.

The series will continue through April 6. Services will be at 9:45 and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on April 1. All other meetings will begin at 7 p.m. daily.

Spiritual movie

Unity Church of North Spokane will host three showings of the Spiritual Cinema Network’s film “Illusion” with Kirk Douglas.

The film will be shown at 7 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. next Saturday and at 1 p.m. April 1 at the church, 4123 E. Lincoln Road.

The movie is rated PG-13. The suggested donation is $10.
